# Plotpicture > Draw or trace a picture on a grid and get the coordinate point list, a blank grid, the answer key and 3 difficulty versions. Version A is free to print. Plotpicture is a browser only maker of coordinate graphing mystery pictures for maths teachers (grades 4 to 9), tutors and parents. The teacher draws on a snap grid (pen, line and shape tools, lift pen, undo and redo, pinch zoom, keyboard drawing) or traces over their own image, or starts from one of 24 original starter pictures. From one drawing it makes 3 versions: A, integers in the first quadrant (the picture as drawn); B, integers in four quadrants (the picture moved by whole squares so the middle of its box sits on the origin); and C, decimals (0.5 or 0.25 a square) or fractions (halves, quarters or eighths), in one quadrant or four. A point that cannot sit on a grid line is flagged by number and never rounded. Each version prints as a student page with the point list and Lift pen marks, a blank grid (one or two a page), an answer key and a points only page, as a PDF on A4 or US Letter with vector grid lines, a PNG of the key, or printed from the page. A worksheet needs at least 2 shapes or 10 points and holds up to 400; the page warns past 150. Drawings stay in the browser. ## Tool - [Coordinate graphing mystery picture maker](https://plotpicture.com/): The tool: draw or trace a picture on a snap grid and get the point list, a blank grid, the answer key and 3 difficulty versions as PDFs. - [Starter pictures for coordinate graphing](https://plotpicture.com/starters/): 24 original starter pictures, each with its point count, to open in the maker and change or print as they are. ## Printables - [Free printables for coordinate graphing](https://plotpicture.com/printables/): Free PDFs to print: blank coordinate grids, a point list practice sheet with its answer key, and graph paper in 1 cm and quarter inch squares. - [Blank coordinate grids pack](https://plotpicture.com/printables/coordinate-grids/): Printable blank coordinate grids: first quadrant 0 to 10, first quadrant 0 to 20, and four quadrants from minus 10 to 10. A free PDF on A4 or US Letter. - [Point list practice sheet](https://plotpicture.com/printables/point-list-practice/): A free coordinate graphing practice sheet: 30 points to plot in the first quadrant that draw a mystery picture, with a blank grid and the answer key. PDF. - [Graph paper, 1 cm and quarter inch](https://plotpicture.com/printables/graph-paper/): Free printable graph paper in two sizes: 1 cm squares with a heavier line every 5 cm, and quarter inch squares with a heavier line every inch. A4 or Letter. ## How it works and guides - [How the points and the 3 versions are made](https://plotpicture.com/how-it-works/): Snapping and simplifying, how versions A, B and C come from one drawing, the scale rule, flagged points and what the site is not. - [Guides](https://plotpicture.com/guides/): Guides for teachers using coordinate graphing mystery pictures. - [Running a coordinate mystery picture lesson](https://plotpicture.com/guides/running-a-mystery-picture-lesson/): A lesson plan for a coordinate graphing mystery picture: the warm up, the instructions, checking work, early finishers and the reveal. - [How many points for each grade](https://plotpicture.com/guides/how-many-points-by-grade/): Choosing a point count for grades 4 to 9: how long plotting takes, where pictures go wrong, and how to trim a picture that is too long. - [Differentiating with 3 versions of one picture](https://plotpicture.com/guides/differentiating-with-three-versions/): One picture as integers in the first quadrant, in four quadrants, and in decimals or fractions, so a mixed class makes the same picture. ## Reference - [FAQ](https://plotpicture.com/faq/): Drawing, tracing, point counts, the 3 versions, flagged points, printing, saving and privacy. - [About](https://plotpicture.com/about/): What the site is, who it is for, what it is not, and how to get in touch. ## Policies - [Premium](https://plotpicture.com/premium/): What a paid plan adds when billing is switched on. - [Privacy](https://plotpicture.com/privacy/): Drawings and traced images stay in the browser and are never uploaded. - [Terms of use](https://plotpicture.com/terms/): Using the worksheets in class, your data, acceptable use, refunds and support. ## Pricing Drawing, tracing, the starters, every version on screen, version A as a PDF with a small credit line, and up to 3 saved pictures are free with no sign up. A paid plan adds versions B and C, one PDF with all three, numbered answer keys, no credit line and up to 50 saved pictures; prices are shown at checkout. ## What it is not - Not affiliated: Plotpicture is not affiliated with any publisher, curriculum body or teacher marketplace. - Not a marketplace: the starter pictures were drawn for this site, and there are no licensed characters. - Not automatic tracing: a loaded image is a faint guide to draw over by hand; it never prints and is never uploaded. - Fixed rules: the same drawing and settings always give the same worksheet. - Not an uploader: drawings are never sent anywhere; there is no server. ## Optional - [Full text of every page](https://plotpicture.com/llms-full.txt): every page as Markdown, in one file. - Support: socialreminderinfo@gmail.com
